Corporate Network “DIE SCHULE” becomes Ludwig Fresenius Schools
On November 15, the green light was given for renaming the brand. The corporate network DIE SCHULE for Careers with a Future, among them Dr. W. Blindow Schools and Westfalen Academy, were renamed Ludwig Fresenius Schools. All the institutions of the company – over 80 in more than 30 cities – will consistently operate throughout Germany with a single brand name.
Why this name? The Fresenius family is closely linked with a tradition of commitment to education which dates back to the year 1848. At that time Carl Remigius Fresenius, Ludwig Fresenius’ great-great-grandfather, founded a chemical laboratory which from the outset was devoted to vocational training. This close interweaving of theory and practice is characteristic for Ludwig Fresenius Schools. Like his forefathers, Ludwig Fresenius is highly dedicated to fostering education, science and society – as Honorary President of Fresenius University and principal shareholder of COGNOS AG.
Ludwig Fresenius Schools take in more than 3,000 students each year. They will continue to provide their extensive offering of vocational training and continuing education under the new brand. Various cooperations, internships and project weeks provide students with many opportunities for practical, hands-on experience. Present and prospective students can also continue to rely on the proven quality: Every year Ludwig Fresenius Schools submit to annual audits by the German Association for Certification of Management Systems (DQS) and are also certified to the DIN EN ISO 9001 and AZAV standards.
