Dr. Arend Oetker

Shareholder

Dr. Arend Oetker is Managing Partner of Dr. Arend Oetker Holding GmbH & Co. KG. Since June 2019 he has been first Honorary President of the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP). In addition he is Honorary Member of the Presidium of the Federation of German Industries (BDI) and Honorary Member of the Supervisory Board of Leipzig Trade Fair, Honorary Chairman of the Administrative Board of the food company Hero AG and Honorary Member of the Supervisory Board of KWS Saat SE. In 2007 he was awarded the gold cross of merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Ludwig Fresenius

Ludwig Fresenius continues the long tradition of education and science of his family as entrepreneur and great-great-grandson of Carl Remigius Fresenius, the founder of the Laboratory Science School from which Hochschule Fresenius (Fresenius University) evolved. The former sole shareholder of Institut Fresenius is Honorary President of Fresenius University.

Hermann Kögler

Chairman

Hermann Kögler is a Business Management Graduate and has many years of management experience in industry in the fields controlling/finance, for instance at Thyssen- and E.ON group. From January 2004 through June 2016 he was Director of COGNOS AG and acted as its Board Spokesman from July 2011.

Ludwig Fresenius

Ludwig Fresenius continues the long tradition of education and science of his family as entrepreneur and great-great-grandson of Carl Remigius Fresenius, the founder of the Laboratory Science School from which Hochschule Fresenius (Fresenius University) evolved. The former sole shareholder of Institut Fresenius is Honorary President of Fresenius University.

Reto Fintschin

Reto Fintschin has been a member of the Supervisory Board of COGNOS AG since July 2017. His mandate was suspended from February 2019 to February 2020, as he had been delegated by the Supervisory Board to the Board of Directors of COGNOS AG, where he was Chairman for one year. Reto Fintschin is an agricultural engineer. He worked for 35 years at EMS CHEMIE AG Switzerland, the leading supplier of high-performance polymers and special chemicals. There he held various management positions in marketing and sales in Switzerland and abroad and was also head of various business units and a member of the Executive Board. Reto Fintschin also held various directorships.

Johanna Oetker

Johanna Oetker studied German literature and linguistics, Romance literature and linguistics, and history in Berlin und Aix-en-Provence. After attaining a Master’s degree she worked in dramaturgy at various opera houses in and outside of Europe. She has also gained varied and extensive international experience through her involvement in the companies and participating interests of Dr. Arend Oetker Holding GmbH in the food industry and and various corporate bodies.

Pascal Gerckens

As Chief Business Development & Strategy Officer, Pascal Gerckens is a member of the extended management board of the Handelsblatt Media Group. In this function he is responsible for the development of innovative products and the new Handelsblatt Business Development. Prior to this, the business graduate spent ten years as Director 360° at Handelsblatt/ WirtschaftsWoche GmbH, where he built up the concept marketing division of the publishing group.

Torsten Steinhaus

Torsten Steinhaus is an attorney-at-law and tax consultant at Steinhaus & Prof. Dr. Griesar.

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Lambert T. Koch

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Lambert T. Koch has been vice chancellor of the University of Wuppertal since 2008. He has held its Chair of Economic Development and Entrepreneurship since 1999. He has been awarded “vice chancellor of the year” several times by the German University Association (DHV). His academic interests, on which he continually researches and publishes, include the areas of innovation and technology policy and strategic networks as well as regional and international economic development. He has served on the University Council of Hochschule Fresenius since October 2015, acting as its chairman since November 2018. In addition, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Koch was elected to the Supervisory Board of COGNOS AG in December 2021.
